Games

Remember those old websites packed wall to wall with free games (Newgrounds, GameHippo, anyone)? Because we sure do! These are the games we're making. Both are written in Sloppy, a small language built for making games.

Sky Barons

The Great War in the air, if the Great War had gone a little differently. Red and Blue each have an airfield full of scouts, fighters, bombers and zeppelins, plus a few stranger things: a rocket pack, a pedal-powered ornithopter, da Vinci's aerial screw.

You start on foot beside your side's parked planes. Walk to one, climb in and take off down the strip. When it goes wrong, bail out under a parachute. Or land, get out, and take another plane, even one of theirs: its colors fool their side until you start shooting. A bomber's guns are manned by your friends or by its crew.

Fights are dogfights, base attacks, capture the flag, and missions like a trench run up a gorge or escorting bombers to a factory. Up to 64 a side, with the computer flying whatever seats people don't. Make a room and send friends the link, play with anybody, or practice on your own.

Flying a red triplane over patchwork farmland toward snowy mountains

It runs in the browser, keyboard and mouse or a gamepad. Phones get touch controls.

Lords of Sola

Still in the making. Sola is a broken land under a sun that never quite sets, and its lords fight over the Sunwells, springs of light that pay for armies.

Each team has one commander, who plays it as a real-time strategy game from above: building the base, spending the team's income, training squads and giving orders. Everyone else on the team fights on the ground as one soldier in one of those squads. The plan only works if the soldiers carry it out, and the soldiers only win if the plan is good. Bots fill any seat nobody's in, the commander's included.

Not playable yet. We'll put it here once we've played it enough to be happy with it.
